Michael Pritchard

Learning Support Assistant

Michael graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA Hons in Music and Popular Music and has worked in education for over seven years (in primary schools and at Birkenhead Sixth Form College), both in teaching and learning support. Though trained and experienced in all performance disciplines, he specialises in singing and music composition. He is a self-taught pianist and has performed in productions whilst working at BSFC, and he trained to play the clarinet. He is also a composer and writer, and he is currently developing his own composition portfolio. As a neurodivergent person himself, Michael firmly believes in the importance of arts in education and inclusion. He previously performed in the Liverpool Empire Theatre and Floral Pavilion in New Brighton (with Birkenhead Operatic Society Trust) and was Secretary at the University of Liverpool’s dance society, BODYSOC. Michael is passionate about working in a creative environment, and he strives to realise the potential of all students at LIPA Sixth Form College.
